Meet Angie Wetli, MSN, FNP-BC: A Passionate Advocate for Holistic Wellness and Healing at AO–The Space
I am thrilled to introduce the newest member of the AO–The Space team—Angie Wetli, Nurse Practitioner—whose passion for functional medicine, hormone health, and wellness-based care makes her the perfect addition to our growing AO community.
Angie brings over two decades of healthcare experience and a deeply personal approach to healing. We sat down with her for a candid Q&A to help you get to know the woman behind the white coat—and why we’re so excited for what’s ahead.
Lets Get to Know Angie
Q: Can you tell us a little about yourself—where you’re from and what led you to a career in healthcare?
I was born and raised in Simpsonville, SC, where I still live today. I went to Hillcrest High School, then studied nursing at Greenville Technical College. I’ve worked in healthcare for over 23 years—18 of those as an RN in various specialties—before returning to school in 2019 to become a nurse practitioner.
I’m a wife, a mom to three grown children, and a proud grandmother of six! My Golden Retriever, Charleigh, is also a huge part of my life.
Q: What inspired you to become a nurse practitioner?
Even after nearly two decades as a nurse, I felt a deeper calling to help people in a more meaningful way. I’ve always believed in treating the whole person and encouraging healthy lifestyle choices. My passion for wellness really deepened when a close family member became ill. Through that experience, I discovered functional medicine and hormone therapy—and the power they hold to heal from the inside out.
Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love being outside—hiking, relaxing on the beach, or simply walking my dog on a nature trail. I’m also a big reader and can often be found with a book in hand.
Q: What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I’m a lifelong learner—and a bit of a nerd! I’m always enrolled in some kind of class, whether it’s medical or even pottery. Learning fuels me.
Q: Do you have a personal wellness or self-care ritual?
Absolutely. I wake up early each morning to journal, meditate, and drink coffee—my favorite quiet ritual. After work, I take Charleigh for a walk. Yoga is also a big part of my wellness routine, and I prioritize daily stillness through movement or nature time.
Q: What drew you to AO–The Space?
I’ve known Jessie for a while and we share the same values around holistic health. I believe in clean, natural living—whole foods, non-toxic skincare, daily movement, and restorative sleep. That’s what the AO Lifestyle is all about, and I’m thrilled to be part of it.
Angie’s Expertise & Philosophy
Q: Can you share more about your background in IV therapy, hormone health, and weight management?
I’ve received extensive training and certification in hormone therapy and weight management, and I’m currently completing my functional medicine certification. As an RN, I spent 12 years in surgical prep, starting IVs daily—so I bring a wealth of hands-on experience to every session.
Q: What excites you most about these services?
Helping people feel better is what excites me most. Hormone therapy can bring back energy, vitality, and confidence. If needed, we can pair it with medication to support healthy weight loss. IV therapy helps hydrate, energize, and strengthen immunity. These treatments can be life-changing!
Q: What’s a common misconception about hormone therapy or IV drips?
People often think hormone therapy is risky, but it’s quite the opposite. It supports brain, bone, mood, and heart health. Similarly, IV drips do so much more than just hydrate—they optimize wellness.
Q: How do you approach patient care and treatment planning?
I treat every patient as a unique individual. I listen deeply, evaluate lab work (hormones, nutrients, blood markers, metabolism), and create a fully customized care plan designed to reach their health goals.
Q: What kind of results can patients expect?
More energy, weight loss, better sleep, mental clarity, and overall health improvements. Most importantly, they feel good again.
Q: What’s your personal philosophy on wellness?
The body is an incredible healer when it’s given the right tools: proper nutrition, movement, sleep, and meaningful connection. I believe in proactive, long-term wellness. It’s not about quick fixes—it’s about thriving.
Looking Ahead with Angie at AO-The Space
Q: What can clients expect when they book with you at AO–The Space?
We’ll start with comprehensive lab work and spend up to an hour together in your first appointment. We’ll discuss your goals, concerns, and results to develop a personalized wellness roadmap. It’s all about uncovering the why behind your symptoms and helping you become the best version of yourself.
Q: Are there any treatments you’re especially excited to offer here?
I’m especially excited to bring bioidentical hormone therapy to AO–The Space. It’s powerful, natural, and truly life-changing for both men and women.
Q: What are you most looking forward to in this next chapter of your career?
I’m eager to help people heal, flourish, and live full, healthy lives. Supporting patients in their wellness journey is what I was meant to do.
Q: How would you describe your style as a practitioner?
Holistic and collaborative. I believe in empowering patients with knowledge so they can make the best decisions for their health. Together, we make it happen.
Q: Any message you’d like to share with the AO community?
I’m beyond excited to join this community—these are my people! If you believe in the AO Lifestyle and are ready to take control of your health, I can’t wait to meet you.
